Heyhey peeps!

Just want to say more arts on the way ~ real soon yo! ;D So ya, other crap happened and good times/bad times it's all good :} Still plan on opening up for commissions again soon in roughly 2 weeks time. But enough babbling, on to what this journal is really all about ~ music!

I wanted to share a few of my current favorites from some of my favorite artists! Perhaps one or some of you will find something you like? I also think my library could use a few fresh voices, I'm hoping some of you might share some of your fav's with me also

Holy hell this winter wonderland weather we've been getting is making Midna a walking purring mess of static shocks D: I cannot touch her with out getting a shock! Uh, Midna is my sister's and my cat btw ~ she's freaking cute for a cat *is a dog person* My sister was nice enough to let me name her. Of course it had to be a name after a video game character LOL! She didn't know what she was getting into when she let me name her >:} But she actually kind of resembles Imp Midna, colours and marking wise, her eyes are even a yellowish brown!

~~~~GOOD NEWS~~~~
Anyways in other news, got a new manager at work who's awesome, fun and really fair with everyone. She knows I need the money and has given me my regular hours back for the next two weeks which is fantastic, it means I should be able to catch up on my bills and such much more easily which is a huge relief! The commissions I get to do for the lovely and generous and have helped out greatly as well :} Thank you so much ladies!!! I'll have the first one done soon too! On that note I will probably only take one more commission before closing until closer to the end of March. I will be okay until March I do believe. I will open again for commissions soon as I finish up my current list ! Plus I need to finish some of the art I owe people (like Rey, Jonah and Kate ;____; ) and eventually start thinking about convention prints.

~~~~REQUESTS (Sort of)~~~~
So now we come to the requests part - sort of... I'll need to start thinking about con prints. I have a few started but am drawing a blank on ideas for future ones. I know you've all probably seen similar journals/polls from other you watch on DA, but I was hoping you might share some of you cents with me? *puppydogeyesextreme!!!* SO! Is there anything game or manga or anime wise you guys would like to see? Maybe a series or character you don't see enough of? Maybe an older game or anime? (Ya'll know I love the old stuff! Haha) The only thing I will not be doing this year is Kingdom Hearts, I am so freaking tired of this franchise and will not contribute anymore to the massive amount of fanart it already has. To a lesser extent while I read Naruto I'm not super keen on doing much for that. Cept Konan and/or possibly some of the other member of the Akatsuki. Maybe. So yes, that's what I meant when I said 'sort of' I can't guarantee that I will do what you suggest/request. But I'm open to suggestions any thing new to check out and I'm willing to try! So you never know, maybe you'll get what you asked for! ;D

Thank you all so much for all the kinds words and welcome backs! <3 I'm still getting back to all the comments and fav's I've recieved/given out to these past couple of days so bear with me for a little bit as I've been a little distracted and like at work lol

Holy crap I want this game so bad after seeing this <3333333 -----> [link] <----- Windwaker Link and Twilight Princess Ganondorf AND the theme from Dragon Roost Island ~ hells yes!!! So much win 8D And they Twilight Princess-ified Shiek's desgin = way COOL and all my favorites from the last game are back even the Ice Climbers and Mr. Game & Watch *dies of happiness*

Naturally, at the moment I'm behind on my rent and internet bill AND I don't even have a Wii *dies again -of sadness* ;_____; Way lame. And two of my inventory shifts at work for next week were cancelled on top of that today, and trying to find someone willing to give up a couple shifts in another dept has not gone well as of yet. The dream of playing this game in my own home is disappearing before my eyes! D: I used up pretty much all my savings on Christmas gifts and then the rest to get this new computer (which I had desperately needed). So I really have nothing left except this pathetic paycheck I got yesterday which doesn't even cover my rent for the month, let alone my bills and groceries and all that crap. So I'm definately going to be taking commissions now.

Also I'm hoping to be in the Artist Alley at least 2 Conventions this year, so long as I am able to get tables that is :S If all goes to plan they would be Toronto's Anime North and Baltimore's Otakon. So obviously you can probably expect some fanart from me soonish :} I have a few pictures already in progress from a while back. So expect a couple of them (hopefully) over the next couple weeks.

But, I'd like to do a number of other anime and game prints as well. I have a few idea's but I'd LOVE (see; hugely appreciate) to hear what type of thing you guys would like to see from me, or just what you'd like to see in general? Avatar? Bleach? Death Note? Final Fantasy? Zelda? Legend of Dragoon? ???

Commission Prices

**Please note that all my prices are in Canadian dollars**

**Other Notes**
~ The '+' means depending on the complexity of the background, more complicated bacgrounds will obviously, cost more.
~ These prices are based off characters with normal to complicated designs. If you feel like your characters design is more simple, like they don't have hair or you're looking for a shirtless picture, and you feel it shouldn't cost as much as a regular commission - let me know! I have final say on whether or not I believe it would be less difficult and time consuming, but if I feel it'll take me less time, we can certainly work out a lower price. For example; I wouldn't charge someone $40 for a bust of a bald guy with no shirt, but maybe more like $25-$30. Make sense?

Character Model Sheets
**All Character Sheets will have a minimalist border and copyright info on them, the full body poses maybe be any combination of front, side or back facing.
'Copper Model Sheet' - include a portrait, one full body pose and the character's name

'Silver Model Sheet' - include a portrait, two full body poses, the character's name and basic stats
- Flats $150 - Fully coloured $190
'Gold Model Sheet' - includes a portait, three full body poses, the character's name, stats and a couple close ups on up to two items (weapons, gloves or jewellery for example)

~~Commissons FAQ~~
1. Why do you offer a discount to certain people?
~ I chose to offer a 20% discount to my family and friends who choose to commission me for a couple reasons. First of all, I find family and friends, particularily my artist friends have so much appreciation for the art they recieve. I truly enjoy working with these people. As well as the fact that they know my work habits, my strengths and weaker points, styles and such better than some joe shmo who wandered across my page the same day and decided to commission me. They know what to expect from me :] Not to mention thay have some pretty wicked characters that I can't help but have fun drawing! Not that people who I'm not close which don't have wicked characters cuz they do too, definately! But I am more familiar with my friends characters which makes the though process and idea stage behind the pic a breeze! So it doesn't really feel as much like a commission with these guys as it does with regular commissions - so I feel charging full price isn't fair in these commissions. And for the record if you need to ask if we are friends, you're probably not one...yet ;D
~ NEW NOTE: I have also decided if there is anyone who commissions me three times or more, from the third time on they will also recieve this 20% discount <3 If you like my work enough to commission me three times - you definately deserve it!

2. Why did you decline my commission?
~ There is a few reasons I may have declined your request to commission me. I will likely tell you the reason why, but I'll list the main ones here just for the records sake. The first is likely that the subject matter is inappropriate and or I have a personal object to it in some way. It may also be something I'm not familiar enough with drawing to feel comfortable getting paid to draw (i.e. animals/dragons/etc...) You can see the next question and answer to things I will not draw. The only other reason I may have declined your commission, would likely be that my commission status is either full or currently not open, if this is the reason (I keep it updated in my journal) keep you eye out and feel free to try again once they free up or I open them again :]

3. What will or won't you draw?
Things I will NOT draw:
- Porn, or basically anything with unneccessary sexual or nude content or anything else I feel is too raunchy, partial nudity is fine as long as it is classy.
- Extreme violence, gore or the like.
- Furry/anthro art, sorry but it's not something I'm interested in or am knowledgeable enough about to try and draw, basically I speaking in regards to characters that have fur covered bodies or non-human faces, and drastically non-human bodys. Although, mostly-human characters are fine, (such as girls/guys with cat ears, horns, tails, etc) The general fairy tale creatures like mermaids and pretty much any of the 'created races' that popped up around DA a couple years ago are fine as well and more than welcome. If you are unsure, feel free to ask.
- Anything that is culturally/racially/sexist or otherwise offensive in anyway.
- Fetish art, for example inflation, vore, dolphin sex, what have you. Though I don't really see anyone asking me for these lol.
- Fanart is an iffy subject and I've changed my opinion on it for the time being and will not be offering any fanart commissions.
- Cars and mechs, I'm way pathetic with highly detailed technological objects and frankly they don't inspire me to draw much. Quite the opposite infact.

4. What is your turnover like? What is the timeframe I can expect?
~ I will not lie when I say my turnover is not as fantastic as I wish it could be. But depending on the picture, my work schedule and where you sit in my wait list it will take sometime between a week and a month to three months longest. Unless something unexpected happens like my braking my wrist or something haha (hopefully that won't happen again). I will work on the commissions as first come first served so long as I have recieved the first half or all of the payment. Once I receive that and the character/whatnot information from you I will start :]

5. How do I pay?
~ I will be accepting payments through Paypal, moneyorder, cheque and cash. I will not responsible for anything (cheque or cash) should it be lost in the mail. Pay this way at your own risk. If you choose to pay by Paypal I will note you with the address as soon as I accept your commission :} And please remember my prices are in Canadian Dollars!

6. When do I pay?
~ I require at least half the payment before I begin on a commission, but if you can or are willing to pay full amount up front that would be more than welcome :}
~ If you choose to pay half upfront, I will send you a small med-low resolution jpeg for approval. So long as there are no changes needed to be made, and upon receiveing the rest of the payment I will send you either the high resolution full sized jpeg or pdf file (btw, does anyone know if there is any site on the web that I could host PDF files privately? That would be very helpful!) After that you may do what you wish with the image so long as you are not selling anything with the image on it or making profit in any way from it. You may alter or crop the image. And that if you are posting anywhere on the web that you at least credit me either by my name 'Lindsay Prior' or my screen name 'Sketchtastrophe', and preferably also link back to my DA page :}

Long time no see watchers >.> if there are any of you left?

First off I must apologize for my super absence and complete disappearance with no notice. That was way bad of me. Long story short over the past year I spent a good portion of it with no internet, and crappy computer and one freaking horrid art block! But I'm back and hopefully for good now Cuz hell I missed you guys! <333 Spent the past couple days sorting out my inbox and message center = holy build up batman, but I defeated it.

Secondly, I want to give a HUGE thanks to all those who favorited, commented and watched my work here during my absense, you have no idea how much it means! <3333

So what's new with me? Not much. Still working lots, Or was working lots, since my hours were pretty much cut in half about a week or two ago *paycheck so crappy now! ;____;* But the good part is that I have lots of free time now and that I'm starting to draw almost on a daily basis again so I'm super thrilled since that means lots of ideas finally get to become something more than just ideas in my head! I actually managed to save up enough for a new computer, which I got last week, and thankfully, since my old one actually went kaput like 6 hours ago as I was copying the last files over to my portable harddrive. Widesceen flat panel monitor is LOVE. Vista le crap though. Now I just need to get my rent and phone/internet bills for jan/feb in order and I can maybe buy a Wii before Smash Bros Brawl comes out in March, because I want this game like madcore >.< Anyhow expect arts to be coming in over the next couple of days, lots of line art, some coloured, but mostly character sheets, if I clean them up enough ;D

Anywho, depending on what exactly I get done I might be opening up commissions in a month, might be more than that though, like I said it depends on what I get done haha. :]

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of art/responses/comments from me. I've been busy working lots and lots and moving and such. So by the time I get home I'm too tired to really do anything :/ Also I'm going though one of those awful art slumps all I want to do right now is colour something and of course I hate everything I draw >.< I don't think I've drawn anything decent in like 2 months. But hopefully, once I'm more settled back at home I'll be able to have some new art to post In the mean time I'll try and get to some of the comments and art in my message center :3 (i.e. the fun stuff )

So I went to Anime North this past weekend selling prints in Artist Alley ~ so wicked! My first con and first time selling art, I really enjoyed it I hope I'll be able to return next year too, and perhaps be more well prepared Shared a table with who was so awesome :3 and sold art like they were pumpkins on Halloween! (Way to go ~perishing-twinkie!) So much fun X3 And I was able to take quite a few commissions too, with the exception of Sunday which I was feeling sooo sick I ended up turning them all down. Everyone seemed really happy with there's which was a relief Didn't really get a chance to walk around or hit up the Dealer's Room but it's probably for the best since I can't afford to be spending money :] And when it was all finished a bunch of us went to see X-Men 3: the Last Stand = so bad seriously. I don't even want to get started, but I still recommend you see it, it's one of those movies you should see.

Edit: I've moved a bunch of stuff to scraps and will probably be moving a bit more tonight before deleting some of the stuff in my scraps. Also hope to have a decent sized sketch dump by the end of next week ~ just waiting on a couple of things ;}

I feel like I've struck Deviantart gold lol Just found a whole slew (sp?) of amazing artists I just had to watch! I went a little crazy :} Unfortunately, my computer keeps timing out after I hit 'Deviantwatch', it's too much for my computer to handle apparently If you want to see what I'm talking about check out the people on my watch list [link] but just to warn any of you with slow connections, I watch a fair amount of people - just over 350 deviants!

Other happenings - I can't seem to get my scanner hooked up and honestly I'm about to throw it through the wall! Also my Photoshop trial ran out so I can't do any cg stuff either...On top of that some other big stuff happened, that I don't really wish to talk about on here. So what I mean to say by all this is I may be slightly inactive for a week or so while things get sorted out. But I'll hopefully be around to comment, and go through my ever growing pile of DA messages O.o

Two weeks until Christmas break! And in two weeks I promise lots and lots of art! There's so much I want to post now, mostly lineart and such. But I have to scan it all in and stuff - ick. And so much I want to colour and draw still I just want to fast forward through these next two weeks. But I have so much school work to do, so that's my insentive - to finish my school work faster so I can do my own thing sooner! I'm getting into a Star Wars kick again too, so expect some SW related stuff, plus pictures I owe *kyla79 and ~Punxter which is really late I'm so sorry! So that's what's happening and I probably won't be around to much until then. Hope everyone's doing well, getting geared up for Christmas, and that all you guys in second year don't kill yourselves over the next two weeks

I was tagged by so here's 20 random facts for you all

1. My eye's were super blue when I was little but they've grown less blue since and more blue-green. And they like to almost change colour depending on if I'm wearing green or blue.
2. I have a huge weakness for all things cotton or just plain soft :3
3. I may talk about how much I like Star Wars, but I actually like Dune (the mini-series and the books) like ten times more
4. I have rather tiny feet, about a size 6 womens and I love it, cuz it means I can always find shoes in my size
5. I have a bunch of screws in my head from jaw surgery I had when I was 16 years old
6. My first RPG was Legend of Dragoon and whenever I hear the Playstation 1 noise I think of that game, which is still one of my favorite games
7. My first word was cat
8. I drink a lot >.> of diet coke and I know it's bad for me, but I just can't drink regular coke/pop it tastes awful, to me it's to sugary and makes me feel like there's this icky coating on my teeth.
9. I only saw the movie Clueless for the first time about a month ago.
10. I think sentences should always start with a capital. Inproper punctuation really bothers me, especially on msn.
11. I hate msn. I also hate talking on the phone, It's not the same as in person.
12. Oddly enough I can't look someone in the eye when I'm talking to them, it weirds me out. And I feel bad when I'm talking to them and looking off behind them, and out of the corner of my eye I see them look behind to see what I'm looking at ;_; I'm sorry to everyone I've done that too!
13. I totally love cleaning and doing laundry! XD I love folding clothes

15. If I can help it I never wear anything other than, jeans and t-shirt and a sweatshirt :3 I feel uncomfortable in anything else.

18. I've always had long straight hair except in grade 5 when I cut it shoulder lenght - which I'll never do again. I also permed it once but it only stayed curly for about a week :/
19. When I was in elementary school I was a terrible reader and hated to read, I was way behind the majority of my class. But by high school I was reading at a way higher level than most of my classmates and I love reading now
20. My favorite shirt is my Star Wars shirt, it has one of the posters from 'A New Hope' screened on it and most people think it's vintage, sadly it's not though.
