If you watch my scraps you might have seen these lines, though less finished already :} I'm pretty happy with them. Lineart is so fun to do <333 I wasn't sure about the sword at first but seeing it on my monitor it looks better than it did on paper. She's part of a group of pictures I was working on, to focus on a few things I haven't tried or used before like colouring elemental effects like ice and fire, using textures and really creating something of a mood for a picture. That'll all come with the colouring though. But they'll be on hold for a while. At least until I finish the commissions and a couple other misc pictures I want to do first :}
I'm planning to try and use some textures when I colour this one, as I've never really used them before. I will likely have to look up some tutorials on that! Anyhow the colours likely won't be up for quite a while so I'm going to post this as a work in progress until then. I might move it to my scraps when I post a coloured version :] Depending how the group of these turn out I might consider selling prints of them when I get them all done
She must have super human strength to lift that sword!
Critiques are welcome, but not on the size of the sword. I'm well aware she logically wouldn't be able to lift it, but that's the beauty of art - we get to make up some of the rules some of the time! ;D
She really is pretty, and the ice sword is beautiful.
I think her lower leg should be more vertical (as in parallel to the edge of the page), though, since she has all her weight on it. And shouldn't the tip of the sword be between her feet?
None of this detracts from the wonderful line quality, or the feeling of ethereal beauty.
